Birds of Destiny

One story suggests that these are Benin Birds of Destiny, however every other notes example of the Benin Bird of Destiny features an entirely different desgin, more akin to a species of Hornbill. These particular figures are now believed to be an imaginative representation of Black-Crowned Cranes; tall, eccentric looking birds that are particuarly adept at fishing.
